CHECK-IN – INSTRUCTIONS APPLICABLE FOR ACADEMIC YEAR 2024/2025
Check-in for accommodation is from September 02, 2024.
Students can only be accommodated in the bed assigned to them in the e-accommodation system or based on an additional application. Moving from the assigned room to another room without permission is subject to a contractual penalty of €100. Room changes will only be possible during the reallocation period starting from October 2, 2024. No one else can check in on behalf of a student, not even with a power of attorney. Students are required to follow the instructions of Mlyny UK staff during the check-in process.
1. DEPOSIT PAYMENT
The deposit serves to secure any claims of the accommodation facility of the University towards the student and is in the amount of €100.
If the Accommodation Contract is concluded for a period of 10 months, the student has the option of paying the deposit in 2 instalments:
The first instalment of the deposit of €50 is to be paid together with the accommodation fee for the month of September 2024. The deposit must be credited to the CU Mlyny account (payment method below) by August 26, 2024.
- The second instalment of the deposit of €50 is to be paid together with the accommodation fee for the month of February 2025. The deposit must be credited to the CU Mlyny account (payment method below) by January 31, 2025, at the latest.
If the student fails to pay the first instalment of the deposit by August 26, 2024, he/she will lose the right to the accommodation allocated at the CU Mlyny.
Who does not need to pay first instalment of the deposit:
- those who resided here during the summer (the deposit is automatically shifted from summer accommodation to accommodation during the academic year),
- newly admitted students who have paid an advance deposit (payment of the advance deposit is considered as payment of the first instalment of the deposit).
After the proper handover of the accommodation spaces - at the end of the accommodation and payment of all contractual obligations to the accommodation provider (accommodation fee, contractual penalties, damages, etc.), the deposit will be returned by bank transfer to the account of the accommodated student.
2. ACCOMMODATION FEE PAYMENT
The student is obliged to pay the accommodation fee for September 2024 so that the amount is credited to the account of CU Mlyny (payment method below) by August 26, 2024 (Schedule). Otherwise, he/she will lose his/her entitlement to the allocated accommodation.
The student will pay the accommodation fee for the months of October - June according to the due date specified in the accommodation contract and on the web of CU Mlyny.
