What to do if you didn't get a dormitory?
The regular phase of the accommodation process has ended, and most dorm rooms have already been allocated. We're pleased that despite the ongoing extensive renovations, we were able to provide accommodation for the majority of Comenius University students.
However, we understand that not everyone was assigned a room during this phase. Therefore, we’d like to inform you about your current options:
1. Submit a Additional Application for Accommodation
First and foremost, we encourage you to submit a additional application for accommodation. These applications will be processed at the end of August and throughout September. There's still a chance that you may be assigned a dorm room.
All details about the additional application can be found on the websites of Mlyny or Družba dormitories. In September, beds may become available — for example, if students cancel their accommodation, find alternatives, or decide to commute due to their schedule. These available spots will be assigned to students with additional applications, which is why private substitutions are currently not allowed.
2. Alternative Accommodation Options
If you don’t want to wait for dorm availability, you can temporarily book a room through a commercial accommodation provider. To help you get started, we’ve contacted several dormitories, private student housing, and hostels. Here are some suggestions to begin your search:
