SCAM PHONE CALLS

Dear Residents,

We have received a number of complaints about scam phone calls from fake accommodation department staff. Please be aware of suspicious practices by these individuals, such as hidden phone numbers, fake email addresses, or non-official bank account details. Therefore, we ask for your extra caution when making payments.

How to verify that you are communicating with an official housing office representative: 

• They will use official housing office emails: ubytovaciedruzba.uniba.sk, dormitorydruzba.uniba.sk, and mlyny.ubytovanieuniba.sk.
• Housing offices will only contact you from phone numbers listed on our official websites:
• Družba: https://druzba.uniba.sk/en/contacts/ 
• Mlyny: https://mlyny.uniba.sk/en/contacts/

• Official bank account details are listed in the header of your contracts or on our websites:     
• Družba: https://druzba.uniba.sk/en/accommodation/ako-platit-bytne/ 
• Mlyny: https://mlyny.uniba.sk/en/accommodation/how-to-pay-accommodation/

• If you have any doubts, please feel free to visit the housing office in person.
• Housing offices do not request advance payments for multiple months at once.

If you have already sent money to suspicious individuals, we recommend contacting the Police of the Slovak Republic.
