HOW TO CLEAN YOUR ROOM

To make the room inspection as quick and smooth as possible, please prepare your room and the shared areas of your unit according to the following instructions.

We recommend that you do not leave the cleaning until the day of your check-out. This will give you more time to check everything, pack your personal belongings and avoid unnecessary delays during the inspection.

Below you will find a list of things that must be cleaned before the inspection.

 

Room (all buildings)

• take out the rubbish and clean the rubbish bin,
• sweep and wash the floor, including behind the bed and under the fridge,
• sweep and wash the entrance hallway, including the coat rack wall,
• empty the wardrobe, desk and shelves, including drawers, and clean them inside and outside,
• empty and clean the bedding storage compartment,
• wipe the radiator and the windowsill,
• clean the doors, both the entrance door and the room door,
• clean the light switches,
• duvets and pillows must be left on the beds, including on every empty bed after a previous roommate,
• if curtains and drapes are listed in the inventory, they must be either hung up or placed in a visible place, for example on the desk,
• clean the fridge: unplug it, defrost it, clean it, wipe it dry and then leave it switched on,
• clean the washbasin (applies to rooms in Átriáky).

 

Sanitary facilities (MI and VB)

• clean the washbasin,
• clean the mirror,
• clean the shelf,
• clean the bathtub/shower,
• clean the taps at the washbasin and bathtub/shower and remove limescale,
• clean the tiles and remove limescale from them,
• clean the toilet,
• clean the doors,
• wash the floors in the toilet and bathroom.

 

Kitchenette (MI)

• empty the kitchen cupboards; after the last resident checks out, nothing may remain in the cupboards,
• clean all shelves and cupboard doors, both inside and outside,
• clean the hotplate and switches,
• clean the sink and tap, and remove food residue from the drain strainer,
• clean the extractor hood, including the light and fan switches, especially removing grease,
• clean the light switches,
• clean the worktop,
• clean the bin and take out the rubbish,
• wash the kitchenette floor.

 

Balcony (MI and VB)

• remove all items from the balcony,
• clean the balcony. If there is bird droppings on the balcony, it will be removed by a designated company. However, the balcony itself must still be cleaned.
